The River Charles

You know those days when you’ve been writing blog posts, devising social strategies and trying to understand how to articulate data for an infographic and your eyes start to cross? When you are no longer able to shake your head and clear up your vision?

Maybe some of the elements that cause your eyes to cross are different, but the result is the same: you need to take a walk.

I’m lucky enough to work in a building that runs along the Charles River. There are a lot of things I like about this space, but I have to admit, this is my favorite feature. I’m a nature girl at heart, which is why I live in the “rural suburbs,” and having this element where I work is a boon to my morale.

I do, indeed, love that dirty water.

BostInno & InkHouse: 6 Tips For Getting Your Company Started on Pinterest

Since I was named the social media coordinator at InkHouse (a new position that I have not yet written about!), I have been researching and writing a lot about the latest social media platforms (in case you missed it, here is my post on Fancy). InkHouse recently started a channel on BostInno and our most relevant posts are being seeded there.

This week, my post on getting a company going on Pinterest is one of the top read channel posts. I’m really excited about it and proud of my work.

Late last year I had started to realize that social media may become my niche, if you will, when it comes to what I can contribute to my company. I had struggled with what I could give that would really help out, and it seems that I have found it.

This may not be important to those of you reading this blog, but it is an important part of my life and personal/professional accomplishments. I’m excited about my progress and how I can grow moving forward.

On another note:

We are due for some guest blogging. There was a really great response from Lauren Buchanan’s post. Who was your favorite blogger and what do you want to read about?

Please put your suggestions in my ask.

Social Media Sunday…

I have several accounts across various social networking channels. Shocking, I know. I’m hoping that you’ll join me on them!

And of course I would be honored if each of you would check out my latest InkHouse blog post, How social media networking is like a cocktail party.

Thanks!

Laura ♥
