Highlights from the Memorial Day Stay-cation of 2012 included:

  • Spending time with my brother
  • Hanging out in the sun, on my back deck, with my dog
  • Lot’s of grilling and eating a delicious fruit and cheese plate
  • Spending what time I could with my busy husband
  • Having lunch on the deck with Teeny and Jake
  • Mani/Pedi
  • Checking out all of the beautiful flowers in my yard
  • Watching dragonflies and butterflies buzz about
  • Reading all of my favorite Women’s Magazines
  • Listening to Eat, Pray, Love
  • Dinner with my family on Sunday and the first bocce game of the season

I have another stay-cation planned for this weekend. But tonight I get to go on a really fun date with Jay. Heading to my favorite place in Boston. Plus 1 if you know where that is…

Super honored to have a couple of our wedding photos on the Willowdale Pinterest page. It was the best day of my life, thanks to perfect weather and the magic of that beautiful estate.

The guy waiting at the end of the aisle wasn’t so bad, either.

Of course, photos from the fabulous Zac Wolf. Did you know he travels?

This evening for dinner I made Spring Pizza, one of the recipes from Eating Well that has been planned for the week. I have to say, I really liked it. I added a some cilantro for a little extra flavor. Plus, it gave me a chance to use the pizza pan Jay and I got from my sister for our wedding.
I apologize for the terrible picture. I sent that to Jay and then ended up cutting it before I could take a better one.
I also made the slow-cooker bread. I highly recommend this recipe, too. Follow my cooking board on Pinterest if you’re interested in some of my other favorite meals!
