My lovely morning mess

One time I wrote a post about what my life/schedule is like. Remember that? This is my morning, editorialized in photos. Unless you knew me in high school and college, you probably don’t know that I have a true affinity for the beauty industry. I worked in salons and spent a few months at Sephora (before going back to the salon). I love doing makeup and I love learning about hair products, styles and techniques. This is the highlight of my busy morning, which is coupled with a cup of green or dandelion root tea.

My least favorite part of my day is the commute — although I have to admit it wasn’t that bad today. I pass the time with talk radio and audio books.

Another wonderful day in the beautiful — but windy — Santa Barbara, California. Went for pedicures and errands with Pamela. I always love spending time with her.

Jase finally came and got to see his mom play Skyrim. I started reading about Buddhism, which has been popping up regularly in my life lately.

I had a blast doing Dana’s makeup, which had me wishing I never stopped. I used to be so good and, if I may say so, I did a nice job this evening.

We all went out to a fancy French restaurant— Petit Valentien. The food and service were incredible. I had the pan-seared duck with mashed, spinach, and a fantastic black cherry glaze. It was followed up by (more) creme Brûlée at a restaurant where the waiter forgot Andrew’s dessert.

Also, Pamela bought me three long-stemmed roses. They have the perfect fragrance.

Jase and I came home to find that Harley (chihuahua) had rummaged through the trash. It made me miss my little dog.

Time for Samantha Who? and sleep with my snoring husband.
