What a wonderful week...
On Monday I was promoted at work. I was so honored and thrilled I nearly cried when Tina told me. The timing couldn’t have been better, because yesterday we got our loan.
Some time very very soon, Jay and I will sign papers and move into our first house. I couldn’t be more excited.
Not to mention I killed it with dinner tonight. Now I’m hanging out in the studio while Jay...

The Golden Rule
So there I was, once again, thinking of something I could possibly give my input on. I was trying to gain some inspiration by reading Laura’s posts –as I usually do- and voila! Here it goes.
Whenever you’re associated with any sort of known relationship that requires a lot of smiles, handshakes, and name remembering I have found that people just assume they know everything about you. Doing...

Christmas, fingers crossed
When you’re little, and Christmas is a part of your family tradition, you eagerly count down the days until Santa will come down the chimney, leaving a mess of beautifully wrapped gifts beneath the tree. You lie in bed the night before, wide awake with excitement, wishing for morning to come.
Some of you may have lay awake, nervous that your behavior...

Hot dogs on a pseudo-summer day
Today I drove home from work with the windows down — a must given that it is just over 80 degrees today — and listened to a Nora Roberts novel (guilty pleasure, what can I say). It felt so calm, peaceful, despite the light-cycle delays that turn a 25 minute ride into a 45 minute ride.
While tonight I am meant to make my version of a southwestern chicken salad, all I could smell...

What others think of you is none of your business
On Friday I read some really nasty comments about this blog and myself. It hit me at a personally vulnerable time and I had considered discontinuing My Life as a Band Wife.
When I started writing this and opening myself up, I knew I would get criticism for the fact that keeping this kind of blog makes it look like I want people to care about me because of who my husband is, or that I have no...

My bonsai tree
This is my bonsai tree. Jase and I call it our anniversary tree because, and I’m sure this will be surprising to you, he gave it to me for our one year anniversary. He had dangled from it a charm for my Pandora bracelet.
Now, I realize the tree doesn’t look very pretty. It’s all branches and there are only three leaves on it. The greenery that grew beside it burned out or grew...

Sometimes all you can do, religious or not, is hope and pray that all things truly happen for a reason and everything will work out for the best in the end.
And blast mewithoutYou’s [A->B] Life in the car to help get you through it all.

On love, oxytocin, stress and IUDs
Relationships are a funny thing. Psychologists tell us that the key to a healthy and long-lasting relationship is communication, openness, separate hobbies and keeping the sex life hoppin’. But according to recent research from Bar-Ilan University, the real key to every-lasting love is oxytocin.

According to Emma Gray’s piece in the Huffington Post, the university...

Honestly,
I haven’t felt like writing, and I am sure you’ve been able to tell.
I try to keep this blog really positive. I felt that women in my situation really need someone who is going to say that tour life isn’t that bad – and in a lot of ways it isn’t. A lot of people need someone who can take bad situations and see a silver lining. I try to do that, even when I’m writing about my health...

BostInno & InkHouse: 6 Tips For Getting Your...
Since I was named the social media coordinator at InkHouse (a new position that I have not yet written about!), I have been researching and writing a lot about the latest social media platforms (in case you missed it, here is my post on Fancy). InkHouse recently started a channel on BostInno and our most relevant posts are being seeded there.
This week, my post on getting a company going on...
